Safari
On morning and evening Main road safaris, our naturalist will educate you about the many mammals, birds, trees and plant life to be found in the BR hills tiger reserve. There is nothing quite as stirring as the sight of a gaur, elephant or tiger roaming free in the jungle.

Main road safari is organized from BR Hills to K gudi in the comfort of your own vehicle. Once reaching K Gudi u can go on a safari organised by the forest department ( depending on availability at extra charges).The most rewarding times for safaris are the early morning and late afternoon/early evening.

Nature walks
Set out for a leisurely walk within easy reach of your farm house to take in the sights, smells and sounds of the Indian bush, accompanied by our naturlist. learn about coffee and pepper cultivation. Walk with our naturalist and learn about plants, trees and insects and their use in the daily lives of the Soligas. Soak in the setting sun at the sunset point.




Bird watching
All over the forests of BR hills, away from bustling cities and noisy streets you’ll find a plethora of birdlife with a variety of colors that no artist’s palette could cover. B R hills in native to more than 250 species of birds of which around 60 species can be spotted in our property. As you walk through the plantation, the unique calls, the striking sounds and vivid colors that are all around you are truly amazing. BR Hills offers a bird watching experience like no other.


Temple visit
The hills are famous for the temple of Lord Ranganatha which is situated on the highest peak of the hill range. The Annual Car festival of the deity held during “Vaishakha “in the month of April, is famous in the region and attracts thousands of pilgrims from far and wide., The local tribes present a large pair of slippers measuring 1-foot 9 inches, to Ranganathaswamy once in two years. Special pooja to the deities are performed on Fridays.



Visit to VGKK
Visit VGKK (Vivekananda girijana kalyana Kendra), the trust responsible for the upliftment of the soligas, the semi nomadic tribe who have made the hills their home for hundreds of years. Educate yourself about the cottage industries like honey processing, lantana furniture making, textile weaving, organic health drink processing, set up for the welfare of the soligas.

There have been numerous megalithic burial sites that have been discovered from within and in the immediate vicinity of the sanctuary, one of which is VGKK premises.

Camp fire
When night draws in, retreat to the warm refuge of an intimate gathering around a small camp fire in the guest area. Enjoy the warmth of the fire and discuss the day's adventures





Star gazing
Most visitors come to BR Hills looking for the wildlife and the beauty, yet one of the most spectacular sights of all is the night sky. Millions of stars seem to shine with a brilliance and clarity that one can only enjoy far from the city lights. In the evening after dinner, embark on a walk through the stars and enjoy the beautiful star speckled sky, you may spot a shooting star or two if you are lucky.



Do nothing
You can just spend your day quietly without any activity peacefully being with yourself, introspecting, meditating etc or just soak in the surroundings by having a book in hand and relaxing. Take a snooze on an easy chair, amidst the chirping of birds.
